A few photos of this operation, going back to about forty years ago.

ALCo S1 #905 has reached the end of the line. Here awaiting her fate,
in the scrap yard of Joseph Simon & Sons, by the Puyallup River:
ALCo S4 #921 rests in the TMBL yard, during a soggy winter day:
On a brighter day, her crew has tied up and gone to beans:
ALCo S4 #944 swings around the curve heading over to get a cut of cars
from the Port of Tacoma. It is a chilly winter day, but I received a warm wave:
#944 is switching at the east end of the TMBL yard:
Then she drags a cut of cars eastward toward the Hylebos Waterway
industries. UP #731 is headed for scrapping over at Big D Salvage:
It's pouring rain and SW1200 #1200 has a cut of chemical tank cars in tow:
A sunny Spring day and #1200 is switching in the old Milwaukee Road log yard:
A year or two later #1200 has an interesting set of spark arrestors installed:
TMBL caboose #200 rests by the log yard at the south end of the Hylebos Waterway.
I have never explored her history, but she sure matches Northern Pacific RY lines:
